FAQs
What is the difference between traditional neurofeedback and LENS?
Traditional neurofeedback requires active participation, retraining the brain repeatedly by rewarding it as it create new neuropathways. LENS uses a gentle, low energy electromagnetic signals to nudge it out of stuck patterns…it interrupts patterns in real time, holding a mirror up and showing the brain it doesn’t need to stay stuck. For more info take a few minutes to watch this great video explaining the difference! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5jj-jDRF9c
Okay, so I get that LENS targets core issues and not diagnoses…what changes can I expect or hope to see?
Here are some personal changes we or our families have seen since starting LENS: a calmer nervous system, less yelling at our kids, deep and restful sleep, ability to focus on homework in the evening (say what?!), clarity, better vision (yes, literal vision), anxiety decrease, return of a sense of smell…

I’ve heard LENS can be administered on the body instead of the scalp. What’s up with that?
Yes, LENS is often administered on the body. During the intake process we will learn about your physiology, sensitivity, reactivity, and resiliency…all of this informs our decisions about where to administer LENS. For example, for our clients who are more sensitive or discerning, we can start administering BodyLens on the bottom of your feet…it’s the farthest from your brain, and can still have a strong impact on relieving symptoms. Ask us for real life examples!
Is LENS helpful for Concussion or Traumatic Brain Injury recovery?
YES. Resetting and calming your nervous system can help relieve symptoms of both concussions and TBIs. LENS helps guide your brain back into realignment and regulation.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Venmo, credit cards, vouchers from granting organizations, HSA, and FSA. Please note a credit card is required to book an appointment online, but we can accept a different form of payment at time of service. We typically bill for the service provided within 24 hours of delivery for which the family is the responsible party for payment. However, if requested, we will provide you with a Superbill monthly containing the CPT codes required for insurance billing for you to independently submit in seeking insurance reimbursement for the out of pocket expenses incurred.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
We believe in the power of LENS to transform lives and relationships. Generosity is also a core belief of ours both personally and professionally. Each quarter we reserve spots for two clients to receive up to 6 sessions for $25/each. We will work with clients to meet that need through a payment plan if needed. Please reach out to us to get on our waiting list for these spots if it applies to you.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. It is our policy to charge $75 no show fee if appointments are forgotten about or cancelled within 24 hours. Cancellations made under the 24 hour policy will have exceptions to the rule (i.e. health or family emergencies). Time is valuable, isn’t it?!
Thanks for all the info, I still have questions…
We get it. We are still learning and growing as LENS clinicians ourselves in order to provide the best care to our clients. Because we love a good video explanation, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCt0UbnirpI
